Community Service

Second Harvest Packing.  Established in 1981 in Savannah, America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia is a locally inspired, volunteer driven nonfrofit food bank and community partnering organization.  Second Harvest serves as the food safety net for tens of thousands of children, senior citizens, low-income families, and people with disabilities who are at risk of hunger throughout Southern Georgia.  Four times a year, Landlovers Community Service gets together on a Friday morning to provide the volunteer labor to pack boxes for needy families at our local food bank. No skill is required, just a caring heart.  We’d particularly like to encourage any men who have time to join us.  All are welcome, but participants must be members of Landlovers.
