Green Thumb Club has found floral workshops to be popular for December meetings, so we looked for a way to create one for online access which allows us to give it to the whole community.

We found a wonderful partner in Adrienne Williams, a retired professional florist and head of the Flower Guild of St Peter’s Episcopal Church here on Skidaway Island. Adrienne donated her time to plan a workshop giving instruction as she created 4 floral arrangements. St. Peter’s generously gave us use of their streaming facilities and volunteers to record and load into Youtube what became 2 videos.

Adrienne has conducted many workshops in her career, and her poise and knowledge show in these videos.  Over the 2 videos she shows you

  1. A mantelpiece arrangement with a Christmas color theme
  2. A dozen red roses in a vase dressed with greenery and white accents,  definitely stylish and easily adapted for Valentine’s Day.
  3. A green and white arrangement suitable for any winter holiday.
  4. A ‘Wow’ Fall arrangement quite large, but full of ideas for Thanksgiving and beyond. Afterall, the Wow-factor is part of the lift to holiday spirits.

Note: COVID-19 protocols were followed in these recordings. There were 4 people in the building. Only the person speaking is not masked and is widely distanced from the others.

Adrienne is happy to answer any questions you have as you watch the videos. Jot notes and email them to savannahwms38@gmail.com.
