2022 Sweepstakes Fore Charity

2022 Sweepstakes Fore Charity is raffling a custom Club Car Onward golf cart, a $13,000 value, along with access to an exclusive VIP experience at a (very) private Brett Young concert. The raffle drawing occurs March 21, 2022 and the concert is scheduled for Saturday, March 26, 2022. Raffle tickets are $50 each, the same as last year. All proceeds from ticket sales will be distributed to local charities, including Landlovers.  You must select Landlovers at checkout in order to benefit Landlovers.

Awards Ceremony

What: The awards ceremony is held to honor the winners of Landlovers Grants, Scholarships and Community Service Merit Awards.  Landlovers is proud to be able to distribute funds which have been raised throughout the year to so many worthy causes and individuals.  Since 1974 we have distributed over $1.5 million to a wide variety of non-profit and service organizations, academic scholarships to Landing Association and Landings Company employees and their families and Community Service Merit Awards to high school seniors.

Flea Market Pre-Intake

Are you moving or renovating and have items that you no longer need? Landlovers has a solution and is able to help! We are working with a local auction house for the period leading up to the 2023 Landlovers’ Flea Market.  They handle more than just furniture, they also take rugs, household items, jewelry, collectibles, appliances, cars, motorcycles, boats and more.  Make your donations now!

Just contact the email below and we will put you in touch with a local auctioneer, who will come to your home and collect those unwanted items and haul them away.  All proceeds collected from these items at their weekly auction will benefit the Landlovers Foundation!  A win/win for all!  We can provide donation receipts at the time of pickup.

Tour of Homes

What: Envision and Enjoy, 2022 Landings Landlovers Tour of Homes
When: Saturday, May 14, 2022  10:00am – 4:00pm
Where: Visit homes which vary in size and decor at The Landings, and residences at The Marshes.
Cost: $50, nonrefundable
What Else: Eight Landings homes, and all six neighborhoods in The Landings, will be featured on the Tour. The homes vary in décor, style and size. Each home is unique, reflecting the personality and lifestyle of its owners. Some homes are new, while others have undergone major renovations.

In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to see two lovely residences at the Marshes, one an apartment and the other a cottage. Parking for viewing The Marshes residences is in the rear parking lot of the Methodist Church where a shuttle will provide continuous transportation to and from the Marshes.

The order that you tour the homes is up to you. Just don’t lose track of time, as the event ends at 4:00. We encourage you to travel by golf cart as street parking for cars will be at a premium. In addition, please wear soft-soled shoes to tour the homes.

Docent volunteers are needed for 2 hour shifts to showcase the homes during the tour. To volunteer, send your name, phone number and desired shift to Carolyn Cricenti at cjcricenti@gmail.com.  Shifts are 10am-noon, noon-2pm and 2-4pm.
Registration:  Click here to register.  A maximum of 500 tickets will be sold.  Ticket sales will conclude Friday, May 6, 2022 or before if all tickets have been sold. Tickets will be available for pick up on Wednesday, May 11, at the Palmetto Clubhouse, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. A table will be set up in the Palmetto art hallway, at the entrance between the two bay windows.

Games Day

Where:
Palmetto Clubhouse
Cost: $50 per player, includes lunch, non-refundable
Schedule:  8:30am – Doors open, light breakfast buffet
9:00am – Games begin
11:30 – 1:00pm – Buffet lunch.
12:00 – 1:00 – Prize winners announced
1:00 – 4:00pm – Games Day play continues
What Else
: A fun-filled day of games and buffet lunch. All Landlovers members (Landings Club membership not required) who play bridge, canasta, mahjong, poker, scrabble or dominoes are welcome…men and women!  For those not interested in playing a table game you may still participate by registering for our Putting and Corn Hole Contests! From 9:30 – 4pm.  Form your groups now!  All proceeds benefit the Landlovers Foundation and its philanthropy.
Raffle:  Tickets will be sold for various raffle prizes:  50/50 tickets are $5 each, Grand Prize tickets are $10 each and tickets for Gift Baskets are 10 for $25 or $3 each.

Flea Market Intake

Flea Market Intake is scheduled for March 5 (9am-3:30pm), 6 (noon -3:30pm), 7 (9am-3:30pm), 2022  TLA parking lot

We need  your slightly used items, in good condition!  We’ll take most items from around your home: art, electronics, small appliances, collectibles, indoor and outdoor furniture, sporting goods and tools, linens, lamps, home decor items, kitchen items, toys, kid’s clothes, luggage and handbags and garden equipment.  Don’t forget jewelry!!  To schedule pickup of large items during Intake  days, contact Margy Hatch (203.249.1469) or Kerry Ufford (401.529.5108).

All funds raised from your donations go to the direct support of Landlovers philanthropy.  Landlovers is a 501(c)3; donations are deductible.

Auctionmania

Auctionmania is back!
When:  Monday, March 14, 2022  5-7pm
Where:  Palmetto Club Ballroom
What else:  We collect hundreds of unique and high-value items during Flea Market Intake, and hold a silent auction which is always a lively evening of fun and friendly bidding.   Bidding will be conducted electronically on-line via your Smartphone.

New This Year!  We’re auctioning a Palmer’s Steakhouse Chefs Table dinner for 8 with wine pairings and a Wine Tasting paired with small plates for 12 hosted by Denise Joy at the Spirited Gourmet. 

The auction will again be conducted electronically via your Smartphone. It is easy to bid and you can track bidding activity on all your favorite items from anywhere; you don’t need to be present to bid. If you don’t have a smartphone, we will have a bidding station where you can bid. Once the auction closes, you’ll be able to view what you won on your phone or at the bidding station. Choose to self-checkout on your smartphone or proceed to a cashier and pay by credit card, check, or cash. 

AUCTION DETAILS: The Auction closes at 7pm sharp. All tables close at the same time. You must pick up the items you won the night of the auction before 8:00 pm – NO EXCEPTIONS. Payment by credit card encouraged, but check or cash will be accepted. If you choose to self-checkout on your smartphone, you can bypass the lines and proceed to the auction table to pick up the items you won. Just show the paid receipt on your phone to the Table Monitor.
