Green Thumb will hold its next meeting on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, when Charles Daniel of Coastal Gardenkeepers will discuss “Camellias for the Home Landscape.” Those of us from colder areas have coveted camellias. Those who have them can always use more. Every year there are new cultivars to choose from. Charles Daniel, known to many from his days at Herb Creek Nursery, presents a workshop covering types of camellias, planting them (espalier anyone?), keeping them happy and dealing with problems. In November, there there will be a field trip to the camellia show and Camellia Trail at CGBG to see these beauties in their glory.
We meet at the Messiah Lutheran Church at 9:30 am for coffee and conversation, have brief club announcements at 10 am followed by our program, which concludes at 11:30 am. Annual membership is $25 or visit as a guest for $5, drop-ins welcome. For more information, contact Kate Kastner (999.6564 or firstname.lastname@example.org).
